India’s Largest Pre Engineered Building Delivered by Interarch

Interarch, india’s top pre engineered buildings (PEB) company in india, designed & engineered, manufactured and delivered largest clean span building in india for Ultratech Cement Ltd in Rawan, spread over an area of 35,000 Sqm.

Interarch’s scope of work also included design and engineering, fabrication, supply and logistic of 4 clear-span buildings 62m, 85m, 95m, and 99.8m in Rawan, Chhattisgarh.

On the basis of customer needs and functional usage, Interarch’s expert design & engineering team proposed and open web portal frame structure for the 99.8m clear span building using CHS sections & other three buildings in built up sections. The building was designed for the seismic zone 3 and IS 800:2007. The loading design has been applied to the structure in accordance with IS-875.

The pipe structure once completed will be one of the biggest milestones in Interarch’s recent history.
Once erected, the building will be 99.8m wide & 353m long, with a clear height of 24m at the peak.

Interarch certified builders and employees had to work under very stringent quality & safety conditions in line with the international standard to achieve many challenges at the site. The erection of the 99.8m clear span building was done near 3 operation conveyer belts surrounded by heaps of coal. Dust in the environment and lack of space to erect the building caused a lot of difficulties to the erection team. Interarch team had to construct a cross over bridge, constantly spray water to keep the dust settled. All workers wore face masks and safety goggles to tackle the dust.

Interarch deployed almost 15-20 dedicated safety and quality engineers at site to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality controlled execution. The total time taken for erection of the building was 6 months.

Giving India Global Perspectives in PEB

Seimens India Limited, West Bengal. Indospace Development Pvt. Ltd., Tamil Nadu. Goodrich Auto engineering Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi. MAT Brakes India Pvt. Ltd., Haryana. What do these brands have in common? All these companies are the prestigious clients of one name, Interarch Buildings. Apart from prestigious projects like the passenger terminal building at the Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 3, New Delhi, and Interarch has many reputed clients in its portfolio. For example, Interarch has completed India's largest pre-engineered building covering almost 80,000 square meters for Fiat India Pvt. Ltd. in Maharashtra. Interarch is a brand synonymous with pioneering pre-engineered metal building systems in India.
Interarch Buildings is India’s top PEB manufacturer. The company has the distinction of reshaping the market for pre-engineered buildings. At a time when the logistics and construction industry was governed by traditional methods of building, Interarch was the trailblazer in providing technologically advanced prefabricated metal buildings. From metal ceilings to blinds to entire pre-engineered steel buildings in India; Interarch has been a knowledge and industry leader. The company is also known for its radically progressive metal roof and wall systems. In fact, Interarch’s brand of highly sophisticated advanced roofing system, TRACDEK, finds widespread applications in many pre-engineered buildings across India.

Very simply, a PEB structure or pre-fabricated building is a type of building that consists of several factory-built components that are assembled on-site to complete the unit. Some commonly used prefab materials include steel frames for structures, panels made of wood, cement, gypsum and other materials for floors, walls and ceilings, factory-made doors, windows and ventilators. Widely accepted in the west, PEB in India is still in a nascent stage. Most pre-engineered steel buildings are commercial buildings using prefab wall panels, ceiling panels, plasterboards and flooring systems. Applications in residences are still very low. Interarch Buildings introduced India to the advantages of prefab buildings. Reduction in construction time, improved quality and energy-efficiency are the key benefits of pre-fabricated steel buildings. Though prefab materials are 15-20% more costly than the traditional ones, overall buildings costs are lower. Thus, demand is gradually increasing; residential steel buildings are also becoming increasingly popular as commercial steel buildings. Steel buildings are those that have pre-fabricated metal structures fabricated with steel for the internal support and for exterior cladding. Many builders have now turned towards prefab technology to deliver superior constructions.
With the setting up of its manufacturing plants, Interarch is the first company to provide 360 degree solutions for prefab buildings India. The first manufacturing facility was set up at Greater NOIDA, Uttar Pradesh. The second unit is at Uttarakhand, Interarch’s flagship manufacturing facility. This is also is the only plant of its kind in India to have heavy-steel structure manufacturing capabilities. The third plant in Chennai (Unit 3) is an ancillary unit while the company’s fourth facility is at Uttaranchal.

Interarch Buildings is the single largest turnkey PEB supplier in India. It is the foremost company to bring in internationally-acclaimed PEB know-how to Indian shores; and has successfully delivered more than 3000 pre-fabricated metal buildings in India.

Pre-engineered Building in India of Steel

The concept of pre-engineered buildings (PEB) has taken the construction industry by storm. Though quite prevalent in the west, PEB buildings, it is still in a nascent stage in India. Interarch Building Products Pvt. Ltd. is credited with having broken new ground with pre-engineered steel buildings in India. The company started its operations three decades ago with high-end metal interiors. Today, it is the country’s foremost pre-engineered metal building systems manufacturer and supplier. Steel buildings are slowly gaining momentum. But why should steel buildings be given preference, is the most comely asked question. Here is why.
New Frontiers
Earlier steel buildings and pre-engineered structures followed basic designs, and were largely used in commercial applications. Nowadays, designs and styles are evolving to more complex avatars; but what remains is the ease of assembly that a steel building affords. Interarch is India’s most preferred PEB structure manufacture, providing solutions for any kind of steel structure construction. The possibilities of steel buildings are endless, and Interarch uses its advanced know-how to customize prefab steel buildings to diverse applications and styles.
Cost-effective Construction
With the introduction of prefab steel buildings, Interarch has shown the industry a cost-effective method of construction. The metal, usually steel, is manufactured and casted at Interarch plants at a fraction of the cost of conventional materials like wood, bricks and cement. Interarch’s completed PEB buildings are fitted with their patented metal roofing systems. These are crucial in bringing down heating and cooling costs substantially. Moreover, the metal is not prone to damage by insects and termites. This is turn brings down maintenance costs in the long term.
Faster Construction
Steel can be prefabricated. Pre-engineered metal building systems usually comprise of steel frames made at the factory and later assembled at the construction site. Naturally this saves precious time and labour costs. Interarch is known for its aesthetically inspired impressive pre-engineered steel buildings, successfully completed for a variety of reputed clients.
Demonstrated durability and strength
Steel has highest strength to weight ratio compared to all other building materials. This means that despite being lightweight, pre-engineered structures are stronger and very durable. It is also non-combustible and so is fire-resistant. Interarch metal systems are tempered to withstand seismic and wind ravages; and resistant to mold, mildew and corrosion.
Green future
Pre-engineered buildings steel buildings by Interarch are completely safe for occupants as they protect from wind, hurricanes and tornadoes they are also earthquake resistant and there is no risk even if quakes occur at high intensity on the Richter scale. Moreover, Interarch pre-engineered metal building systems can be altered or expanded even after completion. The original end wall panels can be changed whenever the need arises.
Single source assurance.

Interarch offers 360-degree solutions for PEB requirements. This means there is a single window of involvement without multiple vendors. In case of a problem, there are less hassles, and no passing the buck.

Complemented by stringent quality standards, an impeccable track record and solid reputation, the company is among the most preferred pre-engineered building suppliers in India.

Multi-Level Pre Engineered Steel Buildings for Process Industries

Multi-level Process PEB Structure demands the use of heavy and durable yet strong materials. Steel, by virtue of its high strength to weight ratio enables large spans and light weight construction. Taller buildings also face higher wind loads, and hence steel being flexible, allows the building to move and deflect with the wind forces, rather than making it rigid like concrete.

Interarch's Multi storey Pre-engineered steel buildings have unmatched benefits like:

·         High strength to volume/mass ratio.

·         Speed in construction and time saving in comparison to RCC, resulting in early return on investment.

·         Steel frames are lighter in weight in comparison to RCC frame. Lighter foundations are required for steel buildings due to less weight than RCC resulting cost advantage over civil construction.

·         Occupies less space and can be designed for larger span/column free spaces, resulting greater coverage, this helps in large open office spaces and large auditoriums and concerts halls, etc.

·         Steel structures can have a variety of structural forms like braced frames and moment resistant frames suitable to meet the specific requirements of higher buildings.

·         Tall Building with steel allows more floors per total height of the building.

Interarch recently designed, manufactured and executed a multilevel mezzanine structure of 6 storey and conveyor bridge above that with the total bridge length of 32 M for food processing plant near Pune.

The conveyor bridge is resting on steel structure and side of the other side on their RCC structure. Interarch design team has implemented a unique design for interface using Tekla software. Tekla 3D is used for superimposing the drawing given by the client in the model designed by Interarch and then identifying the exact locations of all the openings and their equipment.

The structure is a multilevel 6 storey mezzanine structure supporting various silos and equipment at various level of mezzanines. At the top level of the mezzanine, a conveyer bridge structure has been constructed at a height of 45.1 m from the ground, which is spanning 32 m. Major challenge during the erection of conveyer bridge structure which is spanning 32 m was the erection of complete assembly at a time. By using center of gravity from the tekla model of Conveyer Bridge, lifting points are provided to ensure perfect alignments and geometry during erection.
