Pre Engineered Buildings- Interarch Buildings Providing Greener Buildings

The concept of pre-engineered buildings in India is fairly nascent. While the technology has been around for some time, in India consumer awareness is considerably lower in comparison to other world markets. However, PEB in India is slowly gaining momentum, thanks to the real estate industry which has begun to embrace this technique. A pioneering PEB structure manufacturer in the field, Interarch Buildings has set new standards of construction in the industry.

Ready-to-assemble furniture and modular kitchens are in vogue nowadays. But consider this scenario – you buy a building at the store, it is delivered and assembled on the plot or at the site? PEB buildings are just like modular kitchens or ready-to-assemble furniture. At Interarch, top PEB manufacturer in India, the design and detailing work on pre-engineered structures is carried out by highly-skilled engineering teams. Then prefab buildings are designed and “fabricated” in the Interarch plants, shipped to the site and then assembled. The result is built-to-last residential and commercial steel buildings – structures that are up and running up to 50% faster than traditional construction. And, since PEB systems are manufactured at the Interarch plants, stringent quality controls are in place and this helps maintain the consistency of the construction.

PEB technology involves the use of materials that are more eco-friendly than conventional burnt bricks, cement, mortar and sand. Steel is the main component of PEB buildings; it is 90% recyclable and more durable. Other materials include panels made of wood, cement and gypsum.

Pre-fabricated steel buildings use 40% less steel because the steel used is high-strength steel. With an optimal design, pre-engineered metal building systems also produce minimum scrap, compared to conventional buildings. Moreover, since only 20% of the work is done on-site, emissions of flying dust and water contamination is minimized. Metal buildings also consume minimum amount of materials. For example, for buildings up to 7-8 stories, steel consumed is less than 5.5 kilogram per square foot. In addition, prefab buildings offer high resistance to seismic forces because it is lightweight and flexible, whereas conventional buildings have rigid heavy frames and are not viable in case of earthquakes. Also, these buildings are heat and fire resistant, energy efficient and are created with almost 70-80 per cent of recycled content. Buildings constructed using prefab technologies have a life span of 30-50 years, equivalent to the lifespan of structures using conventional methods.

Interarch Buildings stands foremost in the list of PEB companies in India. Apart from being the top pre-engineered building supplier in the country, Interarch is also an industry knowledge leader with path-breaking innovations in the field. With 30 years of experience, this leading PEB supplier has delivered countless pre-engineered metal building systems that are greener than conventional ones.

Pre Engineered Buildings | Pre Engineered Structures | Steel Structures

http://www.interarchbuildings.com/
It is a well-known fact that Interarch Buildings is a pioneer in pre-engineered buildings in India. The virtues of pre-engineered structures have fast revolutionized the construction industry in the world, and now in India as well. The mainstay of the PEB building industry is the use of steel structures for construction. Steel is used in the pre-fabricated metal framework to create I-shaped beams, which are then assembled on-site to complete the structure. Steel frame construction offers many advantages over traditional reinforced concrete- lower costs and architectural flexibility being the foremost. In fact, buildings utilizing a prefabricated structural steel frame can reduce overall building costs by 2 - 3% when compared to traditional concrete.

In addition to this, pre-fabricated metal buildings using steel frames are far more environmentally sustainable that conventional structures. Steel is user-friendly with no dust, no spillage or wastage; and can be reused, relocated or recycled. With the realty boom, the roofing industry has had to re-invent itself to address various concerns of installation time, maintenance, durability, sound and temperature insulation, design flexibility and aesthetics. Interarch has broken new grounds to offer some of the most advanced products available- the Tracdek metal roof and wall systems. Pre-engineered buildings and Interarch’s radical Tracdek roofing system have found widespread application in residential as well as commercial steel buildings like warehouses, factories and supermarkets– from big projects like airport hangars to small ones like a mere false ceiling.

Nowadays, false ceilings are quite a popular trend. A false ceiling is installed to conceal services such as electrical wires, ducting and lights; at the same time providing easy access to the same. Interarch Buildings has forged ahead of competition with their innovative TRAC® suspended ceiling system. This is specially designed for the Indian market, keeping in mind building design, construction practices and weather conditions, The Interarch TRAC® ceiling is manufactured from recyclable materials, and can withstand humidity and corrosion. It is fire resistant, and also prevents the growth of bacteria and fungi. Interarch’s advanced technology ensures efficient acoustics, reducing noise and thereby ideal for use in hospitals, schools, offices, restaurants, shops, hotels, airports and other buildings. TRAC® ceilings are also suitable for industrial use, especially inside factory buildings.

Interarch Buildings Revolutionizing pre-engineered buildings in India

Interarch Buildings

Pre-engineered buildings have been given a new outlook and presence in India by Interarch Buildings. The company started operations in 1984, and was the pioneer of metal buildings in India. Interarch provides facilities for design, manufacture, logistics, supply and project execution for pre-engineered steel buildings. Interarch has been a knowledge leader for steel building manufacturing and construction in the country.

Since inception, Interarch Buildings has been constantly trying to make their work culture more efficient. They have made innovative changes to their designs, so as to deliver efficient metal buildings. They are one of the most reputable brands in the pre-engineered buildings sector. Interarch has also integrated technology in their production process, with the help of specialized software packages and custom-developed analysis tools. These enable consultants to understand designs of pre-engineered buildings better.

But what are pre-engineered buildings?

A pre-engineered building is one that is designed by an expert supplier or manufacturer in the field of engineering, and design of such structures. It is compiled using raw materials that are best suited for a particular project. The inventory is unique to each project and is so selected that it satisfies the structural and aesthetic design of the building being created. The basic framework of pre-engineered buildings is assembled with I-beams. These, I-beams are constructed by welding together steel plates to form I-sections. The, I-beams are then later field-assembled to formulate the entire structure of the pre-engineered building.

Pre-engineered buildings have come a long way with the advances in design technology. Earlier, pre-engineered building manufacturers used to work with pre-calculated tables for various structural elements. These tables were crucial in the selection of I-beams. Designers used tables to finalize the size of I-beam required for the project. However, with the evolution of computers, table selection procedures are becoming obsolete.

Pre-engineered buildings can save money for the developers. Conventional steel buildings generally, overweigh efficiently designed pre-engineered building by about 30%. The less the weight of the building, the less is the steel used in the structural framework, thus saving money.
